Weekly Bible Studies
- 10 a.m. Sunday Bible Study – Dr. Maier: The Gospel of John
- 1st & 3rd Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Breakfast – Small Catechism — The Small Catechism, written by Luther in 1529 and consists of these texts along with brief explanations of each. The expanded Explanation section, recently updated by the LCMS in 2017, is prepared as an additional teaching and learning tool. This Bible Study meets at Sunrise Cafe (10230 Coldwater Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 AM and is led by Rev. Smith.
- 10:00 a.m. Wednesday AM Bible Study — The Book of Proverbs — Join Vicar Windoloski for Bible Study as we explore the book of Proverbs. Proverbs promises that we will not face life alone or without good counsel. As Luther noted, Proverbs may properly be called a book of good works, for in it, Solomon teaches how to lead a good life before God and the world. So, too, when we face the practical dilemmas of life, the Lord is with us to establish our steps; when we call on His name, wisdom will answer.
- 8:30 am Saturday Morning Bible Study – The Large Catechism – The Large Catechism is one of the clearest expositions of Luther’s teaching to the Church. In his usual masterful fashion, Luther unfolds the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, and the Lord’s Supper. According to Luther’s first preface, it was designed as a handbook for the head of the household to help them teach their family. The second preface directs it more to preachers and pastors, providing them with a model for Christian education. Our study of the Large Catechism is led by Vicar Windoloski @ 8:30 am on Saturdays. Presently, the class is studying the second Chief Part of the Catechism: The Creed.
- Parenting Class 10:30 a.m. Every Other Saturday — Join us on Feb. 10th & 24th @ 10:30 a.m. and is led by Rev. Smith covering how to lead devotions with your children and give the significance of Sunday School stories.
- Sunday morning 10 a.m. Bible Class with Pastor James in the kitchen. We will begin by studying the little book of Colossians. Pastor James recently led a study on this book with LCMS Asia missionary families who had gathered for a retreat in Medan, Indonesia earlier in January.
- Ladies Sip & Savor Bible Study will gather once again on Tuesday, February 6 at 6:30PM to make plans for this bi-monthly Bible study and fellowship for women.
